The North Strand Housing Shelter (NSHS)
provides emergency and transitional
housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness as they pursue independence and re-entry into the community. To learn more about our life-changing programs and services read more here.

NSHS serves single men and women but prioritizes Veterans and families with children.

Because of the generosity of the community in 2022:

14,877 nutritious meals were served
3,398 nights of shelter were provided
7,875 clothing items were distributed
172 individuals, including 53 children and 14 Veterans were served
104 individuals and families obtained housing
52 individuals secured employment
