EMERGENCY HOUSING
NSHS provides for the physical needs of shelter residents including warm beds, clothing and nutritious food. After arrival, the shelter facilitates the guests’ connections with local agencies, and resources that include counseling, case management, Bible study and church services, life skills, job training, resume writing and financial budgeting classes. The guests are treated with respect and dignity, creating an interactive, but safe environment.

NSHS provides longer term housing, with a primary focus on Veterans. These individuals may remain for a year or more, to save the funds needed to move into permanent housing.
COUNSELING
An on-site counselor provides weekly sessions (group and individual) for residents working through life’s challenges. In addition, counseling is available at the Center for Counseling, at no charge. NSHS also
provides access every Sunday to the Celebrate Recovery program through a local church.
